With still 1 day to go I decided it is time to make a short analysis of the market share of search engines in the USA. The total population of this research was 128,417,299 visitors from US, for the period of 01.01.2009 till 12.30.2009. As expected Google is still the most popular search engine used by US residents. According to my results it is even bigger than expected. See the results for yourself.
The conclusion which can be made from above results is that we, webmasters, strongly depend on Google’s traffic. The almost monoply position of Google is rather scary than pleasant.
